     a. Consideration – Adoption of Budget Amendments Required for Accounting Purposes;

     b. Consideration – Adoption of Resolution by Governing Body of Recipient and authorization for Mayor Peel to execute the Financial Award Offer of State Grant Number E-SAP-W-17-0008 from the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality in the amount of $995,000 and acknowledge by signature the Standard Conditions and Assurances;

     c. Consideration – Renewal of Central Communications and Emergency Management Interlocal Agreements with Pasquotank and Camden Counties;

     d. Consideration – Renewal of Interlocal Agreement for Animal Control Services with Pasquotank County;

     e. Consideration – Termination of Republic Services of North Carolina LLC Agreement for disposal of leachate at the wastewater treatment plant pursuant to the provision of Section 11 of the agreement;

     f. Consideration – Addition of Public Comment Period to June 5, 2017 Budget Work Session to receive comments on the fiscal year 2017-2018 budget;

     g. Consideration - Call for a public hearing to be held on June 12, 2017 in City Council Chambers of the Municipal Administration Building, 306 E. Colonial Avenue at 7:30 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows) to receive public comment on the proposed fiscal year 2017-2018 City of Elizabeth City budget; and further instruct the City Clerk to advertise the public hearing as required by NCGS §159-12.

     h. Consideration - Call for a Public Hearing to gather citizen input regarding Rezoning Application RZ 01-17 to be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows) in Council Chambers of the Municipal Administration Building, 306 E. Colonial Avenue;

     i. Consideration - Call for a Public Hearing to gather citizen input regarding Conditional Zoning Application CZ 01-17, to be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows) in Council Chambers of the Municipal Administration Building, 306 E. Colonial Avenue.

9. Public Hearings: (to begin at 7:30 p.m.)

     a. Hold a Public Hearing to Receive Public Input on the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Downtown Redevelopment Program for the Southern Hotel.

     b. Hold a Public Hearing to receive public comment regarding approval of Hintonsville Rentals’ Downtown Improvement Grant Program request in the amount of $7006.28 for a total project cost of $14,012.55.

10. Regular Agenda:

     a. Update – City of Elizabeth City Utility Billing

     b. Discussion – Town Hall Meeting and Race (Requested by Councilman Brooks)
