ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CITY OF ELIZABETH CITY, NORTH CAROLINA

REPLACEMENT OF 3.0-MILLION-GALLON RAW WATER TANK AT THE CITY’S WATER TREATMENT PLANT  

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Replacement of 3.0-Million-Gallon Raw Water Tank at the City’s Water Treatment Plant be received by hand delivery to the City of Elizabeth City, in the City Hall Council Chambers, second floor, located at 306 East Colonial Avenue, Elizabeth City, NC, until 2:00 pm local time on February 5, 2025, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of Replacement of 3.0-million-gallon Raw Water Reservoir Tank, and all else required, complete in every respect, tested and accepted, placed into operation, to the satisfaction of the Owner and Engineer.

The foregoing description shall not be construed as a complete description of all work required. Bids will be received for a General Construction Contract.  Bids shall be on a lump sum basis. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Bidding Documents are available by way of electronic file, pdf format.  A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 am local time on January 5, 2026 at the project site, located at the intersection of South Water Street and East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC.  Attendance by the prime bidder is required. The City’s goal is to contract or sub-contract ten percent (10%) of the contract amount to certified MWBE’s on this project. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid.
