The City of Elizabeth City (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at City of Elizabeth City, City Hall, Second Floor Council Chambers located at 306 East Colonial Ave. Elizabeth City, NC 27909 until 2:00 PM (local time) on January 15, 2025. At that time, the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The Project includes the following Work:
This project includes the replacement of two (2) dry-well pumps, controls, and piping with three (3) suction-lift pumps, controls, and piping. An intermediate floor to house the pumps will be constructed within the existing building and various building improvements will be made including, but not limited to, coatings, equipment hoists, lighting, stairs, doors, ventilation, roof/gutters, and sidewalk. The existing permanent diesel backup pump will be replaced with a new permanent diesel pump, yard piping and valves will be replaced, and a flow meter and pressure transmitter will be added on the force main.

Obtaining the Bidding Documents

Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents or electronic documents on compact disk will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen. Bidding Documents are available for purchase in the following formats:

Pre-bid Conference
A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 10 AM at Grace Drive Pump Station located adjacent to 1721 Grace Dr., Elizabeth City NC 27909. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but not required.
Post pre-bid conference questions will be received until January 2, 2024 until 5 PM. Responses to questions will be provided in addenda, as required.
