AARP
The Pasquotank County Chapter of the AARP meets monthly on the third Thursday from 3:00 – 4:00 pm at the Senior Center, located at 200 E. Ward Street.  FMI call 252-337-6672.

ABC Permits
The North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Board requires ABC Permits for the sale of beer, wine and liquor. Written comments are required from local governments regarding zoning, building code and fire compliance prior to issuance of such permits by the State of North Carolina. Abandoned Motor Vehicles
To report an abandoned motor vehicle, call the Code Enforcement Department at 252-335-4321, extension 257 or 316.

Accounts Payable
The Finance Department pays invoices received from vendors for all goods and services rendered. For more information, call 252-337-6861.

ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Coordinator

Adopt-A-Median
Help enhance and improve medians throughout the community by working with the Public Utilities Department to develop a formal planting plan, complete site preparation, such as grading, soil amendments, bed preparation; install trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials; commit to ongoing landscape maintenance and mowing for a minimum of five years; pick up litter and debris.

Adopt-A-Park
Take an active role in the environmental health and appearance of our parks or neighborhood common areas by assisting in landscaping and other activities. For more information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 252-335-1424.

Adopt-A-Street
Commit to cleaning a City street at least twice per year. For more information, contact the Public Utilities Department at 252-337-6628.

Airport

Animal Control
The Pasquotank County Sheriff’s Department provides animal control in Elizabeth City. To request assistance, call Central Communications at (252) 331-1500.

Annexation
For information regarding annexations or information about procedures for voluntary annexations, call the City Clerk’s office at 252-337-6955. Annexation into the City limits is required before a property owner can obtain access to city water or sewer services. Applications for voluntary annexation may be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office or by download in the City Clerk’s area of this website. A copy of the City's Official Zoning Map may be obtained by contacting the Geographical Information Services (GIS) division of the Department of Public Utilities. Appliance Disposal
Appliances are picked up for disposal each Wednesday and should be placed at the curb for collection no earlier than Tuesday evening at 7 PM. To request collection of discarded appliances for disposal, call the Public Utilities Department at 252-337-6628.

Arts/Craft Classes
Classes are taught periodically at the Recreation Center for youngsters. Fee charged. For more information, call Parks and Recreation at (252) 335-1424.

Athletics
The Elizabeth City Parks & Recreation Department offers team leagues in softball and basketball and individual sports in baseball, basketball and volleyball.

Assessments
City assessments may be paid in the Office of the Pasquotank County Tax Collector, located across the street from the County Courthouse, 203 E. Main Street, Elizabeth City, NC. For more information, call the Customer Service Division at 252-338-3981.

Auctions
