Landfill
The Solid Waste Management Department of Pasquotank County operates the County’s landfill. Located at 983 Simpson Ditch Road, hours are Mon., Tues., Weds., Fri., and Sat from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 6 p.m.. Closed all day on Thursday.

To determine landscaping requirements for new and existing development, call the Planning Department at 252-337-6672.

Leaf Collection
The City of Elizabeth City operates a loose-leaf collection program each fall. Citizens who rake their leaves near the curb in their yard will receive leaf collection on a regular basis throughout the fall. Please note that leaves are not to be placed in the gutter, so as not to interfere with drainage. For more information, call the Public Utilities Department at 252-337-6628.

LIBRARY
The Witherspoon Memorial Library, a branch of the East Albemarle Regional Library System is located at 100 E. Colonial Avenue. The library may be reached by phone at 252-335-2511 or by visiting www.earlibrary.org.

Locating Underground Utilities
Call before digging or construction to verify locations of city underground electric cables, water lines, sewer lines, etc. To determine locations of other utilities, call NC One Call at 1-800-632-4949 or 811. Any damage done to utility lines is the responsibility of the excavator.
