(c)  Presentation by Scott Hinton - Scott Hinton with the Airport Authority will be here to present information on the economic contributions of airports to their communities. Attached is an executive summary of the presentation.

(d)  Discussion on Over-Width Farm Equipment Being Driven on Controlled-Access Highways - In 2008 the General Assembly passed legislation that increased the allowable width of farm equipment on North Carolina roads from 18 feet to 25 feet. The legislation also placed an additional restriction that prohibited this farm equipment from fully controlled-access highways. The Division of Motor Vehicles recently held an information session for area farmers to provide training regarding these restrictions. Chowan County recently passed the attached resolution requesting that the General Assembly allow the over-width farm equipment on controlled-access highways. Al Wood with the Cooperative Extension Service will be here to talk about the dilemma that some Pasquotank County farmers are facing when transporting large farm equipment from one part of the county to another. We will also have a map that shows the allowable routes, most of which pass through Elizabeth City vs. the U.S. 17 Bypass.

(e) Approval of Interlocal Agreements for Central Communications and Emergency Management - Enclosed are the final versions of the interlocal agreements for Emergency Management Coordination Services and 911 Communications and Dispatch Services. If these agreements are approved by the county and city, they will also need to be approved by Camden County. These agreements have been reviewed and modified by a joint committee of the County Commissioners and the City Council.
