Small Business Garbage Collection

Businesses with minimal refuse may utilize the City’s automated refuse service, provided they meet certain requirements.

• Must not generate more refuse than what two ninety-gallon roll out units can contain.
• Must purchase the containers from the City at cost and pay a stated monthly collection fee per container.
• Must place the container out for pickup prior to 8:00 a.m. on the designated day of pickup. Collection is once a week on Wednesdays.
• Containers must be kept in a clean, sanitary condition.

When several small businesses are located in close proximity to each other, it may be in their best interest to utilize the commercial collection and share expenses for a larger container.
