Yard Waste Collection

Yard waste is classified as grass, shrub clippings and leaves from around your yard. State law prohibits yard waste from going into the landfill. Therefore, all yard waste is collected separately and taken to the City or County facility to be ground up into usable mulch. The Sanitation Division collects yard waste at curbside on a weekly basis. Each area has a designated day. Please refrain from placing leaves and other such debris in the gutter line, so as not to interfere with storm drainage. Leaves and other yard waste contained in plastic bags will not be collected.
