Celebrating Women's History Month with a Salad in a Jar Luncheon
March is Women’s History Month—a time to honor the achievements, strength, and resilience of women throughout history and in our daily lives. In celebration, the Wellness Committee hosted a special event, “Woman’s Day Salad in a Jar luncheon,” dedicated to uplifting the incredible women employees of our organization.
We were honored to welcome our guest speaker, Dr. Aresta L. Johnson, who delivered an inspiring message focused on self-empowerment and the importance of identifying and following one’s moral compass. Her words served as a powerful reminder of the inner strength and values that guide women in both their personal and professional lives.
Following the presentation, attendees enjoyed a unique and health-focused lunch: salad in a jar. This creative approach to healthy eating offers a fun and convenient way to pack a nutritious meal. Each inidividual layered thier own jar with fresh, wholesome ingredients—from crisp vegetables, grains, and fruit to lean proteins and flavorful dressings. Not only are these salads visually appealing, but they also support our ongoing commitment to wellness and healthy lifestyle choices within the organization. We extend our gratitude to Electric Garden for providing fresh, healthy juices.
The event provided a meaningful opportunity to reflect, connect, and nourish both body and mind. Thank you to all who participated and continue to support wellness and women’s empowerment in our workplace! Special thanks to Robyn Key, Patricia Ferebee, and Monica Cole for organizing this initiative.
