Electric Department
The City of Elizabeth City's Electric Department is always available to serve you. The Electric Department is dedicated to providing the best service and a quick response time to our customers at all times. We are constantly maintaining and improving our existing power lines to accommodate the growing population.
During normal working hours, if you have a power outage, electrical problem, find streetlights not working, limbs hanging on electrical wires, etc., please call (252) 337-6870.
After Hours: The Electric Department crews are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We respond immediately to emergency after-hours calls. After hours, please call (252) 335-2196 to report a power outage or electrical problem.
As a courtesy, Electric Department crews install banners announcing upcoming community events in two locations. An application must be completed and approved by the City Manager prior to installation of the banner. This application is available for download below. (Adobe Acrobat required)
