Utility Billing
To meet the needs of our customers, the Utility Billing Division provides support services and processes all City revenues including electric, water, sewer, business registration fees, assessments and parking space rentals. The division is responsible for billing, receipt, meter reading and timely recording of all revenue for the City.

Office and Service Hours
The City's Utility Billing Department is located downtown in the Gardner Municipal Building. The office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Routine and regular service work will be performed during these hours except for holidays. Service work for unusual conditions may be arranged at other times upon request.
Emergency restoration work is performed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Please call us at (252) 337-6628 for emergency service.
Connection to the City's utility system for customers disconnected for non-payment is available during normal business hours provided the customer pays their bill and reconnect fee prior to 4:30 p.m. After-hours reconnection will be available if the customer signs a promissory statement that he or she will pay the past due amount and any additional fees by noon the next business day. No service will be reconnected between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
